A Tradition of Gratitude and Generosity
Each November, the Sunday before Thanksgiving brings our church family together for something special. We call it “Dollar A Day for Missions,” and it has become a powerful tradition in our mission work in Peachtree City. This year, the event will take place on Sunday, November 23rd, and our Shepherds are encouraging every family to join with prayerful hearts.

How the Mission Offering Works
To begin, the idea is simple. Every family gives one dollar a day for the year 2025. This adds up to $365 per family and goes beyond our regular budget. It supports God’s mission efforts around the globe.
In the past two years, we have had generous participation. It showed how faith, unity, and generosity can fuel God’s work in meaningful ways.
Celebrating This Year’s Impact
Because of this giving, our church made a real difference. This year, with 2024’s offering, we:
- Provided Bibles for missionaries in Africa
- Funded scholarships for preacher training students
- Supported maintenance and improvements at Camp Inagehi
- Helped missionaries secure vehicles
- Sent three students on short-term mission trips
- Funded the Transformational Village Program in Kenya
- Covered travel expenses for missionaries
- Contributed to a new church building fund in Scotland
- Launched a radio evangelism program
- Helped cover surgery costs for a missionary’s wife
Each of these efforts showed how your small daily gift can create big results.
Looking Ahead With Purpose
As we look toward this year’s offering, our mission goals continue to grow. Next year’s plans include:
- Supplying even more Bibles for missionaries
- Continuing support for the Transformational Village Program
- Providing preacher scholarships
- Assisting an Asian Christian University with recovery efforts after a typhoon
- Offering added help for the building fund in Scotland
- Meeting unexpected needs, such as medical costs, travel, or urgent mission opportunities
These plans remind us that mission work in Peachtree City reaches far beyond our city limits.
Trusting God With the Future
We cannot predict what opportunities God will place before us next year. However, God already knows what His Kingdom needs. Because of that, this fund allows us to respond quickly, support one-time mission efforts, and make wise decisions before taking on long-term commitments.
This is one more way we participate in mission work in Peachtree City while also blessing believers across the world.
A Thanksgiving Offering of Praise
What better way to say “Thank You, God” before Thanksgiving? As 2 Corinthians 9:12 teaches, our service meets the needs of God’s people and overflows with thankfulness to Him.
Together, we can change lives, encourage God’s servants, and share His love across the globe. And we can do it with only one dollar a day.
